Raw Material

At Altınoluk Recycling Facility, we follow a raw material policy based on material quality and environmental sustainability in the production of core boxes. Two main types of polypropylene (PP) are used in our production process: recycled polypropylene and 100% virgin polypropylene.


 

Recycled Polypropylene (rPP)

Recycled polypropylene is obtained by separating and granulating industrial plastic waste. This material helps reduce environmental impact and minimizes the use of natural resources, contributing to sustainable production goals. The rPP used is processed in a way that maintains its mechanical properties and is subjected to quality control tests, particularly in terms of tensile strength, impact resistance, and thermal stability. Each production batch is inspected for color consistency, MFI (Melt Flow Index), and density to ensure quality.

     

 


 

100% Virgin Polypropylene

100% virgin polypropylene is additive-free and high in purity, providing maximum mechanical performance. This raw material is especially preferred in applications that require high strength, impact resistance, chemical durability, and thermal stability. Core boxes produced using virgin PP offer long-term durability in challenging field conditions. UV-stabilized versions are also available, offering resistance against color fading and structural degradation in outdoor environments.

   

 


 

Quality and Process Controls

Both raw material types undergo detailed laboratory analysis before and during the production process. The tests performed include:

  • Density Measurement (g/cm³)
  • Melt Flow Index (MFI, g/10min)
  • Tensile Strength (MPa)
  • Impact Resistance (Izod or Charpy)
  • Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT)
  • Moisture Content (%RH)

Based on this data, the field performance of products is guaranteed, and special formulations can be developed according to customer requirements.
